Check-In Procedure
Each Sunday:
Please fill out & place a name tag on your child. (These are located in Harvest Café on a round table.) The number stub is for you to keep. Should the need arise for us to contact you; this number will be displayed on the bottom right corner of the screen in the Celebration Room. Whoever picks up your child will need this number.
For safety reasons we ask that you hand your child to the teacher/volunteer in the Nursery -3 year old classrooms instead of entering room. Give your a child a hug and say goodbye at the door.
If this is your first time to Promiseland, please complete the Child Information Form. This will help us to get better acquainted with your child.
Welcome to Promiseland!
Grace Church Nursery for children ages birth thru Kindergarten
Provided during each Saturday and Sunday services.
Promiseland will emphasize that each child is a gift from God.
Our desire is to provide for your child the most caring and secure environment possible, as well as teach age-appropriate concepts of God's Word. Children learn that Jesus loves them and wants to be their best friend. Our volunteers will use their God-given talents to help you nurture your child spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
Starting with the infant room, Christ's love for children is demonstrated by providing a safe & clean environment. Volunteers hold, sing & talk to the babies of Jesus' love & God's creation.
In the Walker class they are learning to Thank God. This curriculum is designed to help the toddler to understand and enjoy the goodness of God.
Two- and three-year-olds begin learning Bible stories. In this class the curriculum takes advantage of a three year olds developing sense of will. In learning about God’s ways they are beginning to wrestle with “my will” versus “God’s will” (most often in the form of parent or teacher authority). Obeying, helping, sharing and making wise choices are the prominent focus of this age level.
Four- and five-year-olds expand their Bible knowledge through relevant Bible teaching & creative play. Four year olds are beginning to realize that they are growing and will not always be little. Unlike three year olds, four year olds are now ready for associative play and are learning to cooperate. However, they are still very focused on their own wishes and can be active and assertive in pursuing their interests. This curriculum takes advantage of these changes, encouraging children to include God in their exploits, helping them learn that God is in control of life and that growing children can choose to honor Him.
